Our Story

Founded in 2017 in Ann Arbor Michigan, Core Value began by pioneering Duct Armor in the Mitten. Relocating in 2019 to the Keystone State, we have grown into a full-service air quality and energy efficiency contractor.

Recognizing an opportunity in Pennsylvania, several major factors led us to Lancaster (aside from the charm).

1. The age of homes and demand for restoration work – due to its sought after location and historical significance. Additionally, properties with slab foundation in areas such as the Main Line, oftentimes have transite ductwork, which is made with asbestos.
   
   (a) Duct Armor is an affordable solution to rebuilding ductwork like-new and encapsulating asbestos.
   
   
   
2. A humid climate – making mold a major concern, especially in commercial buildings and schools.
   
   (b) Duct Armor can also be a solution to inhibit bacterial growth because of its zinc content. Sealing ductwork with Aeroseal, stops leaky ductwork from inviting humidity and contaminants into your system.
   
   
   
3. Limited number of quality competitors. Unfortunately, the Commonwealth does not have licensing requirements for duct cleaning, or most skilled trades for that matter. This has led to companies offering services without the proper training or equipment. Fortunately, legislation is making its way towards creating efficiency standards, which will protect consumers and the environment.
   
   (c) We maintain a Class 3 Mechanical Contractors License, several NADCA, IIRC, C-DET and OSHA certifications, in addition to other licensing. Our training and experience, places us in the top-tier of quality professionals.
   
   
   
4. Regional awareness – for the long term and wide range of dividends that come with increased energy efficiency and a healthy lifestyle.
   
   (d) There is a heightened level of motivation and understanding towards the necessity to reduce our carbon footprint and become good stewards of our health. We aim to bridge two markets by offering both healthier air and reducing wasted energy.
